Our wonderful winter critters; this cow and calf are regulars on the meadow. They sleep close by the house just across the creek and are very comfortable with our comings and goings. Happy New Year from the meadow

We wish you a very happy New Year! Here are just a few pics from the last days of 2007.

Sitting at our kitchen table having breakfast the other day, Vinny spotted an owl across the creek. David grabbed his camera in time to catch the owl swooping down into the snow after it's prey. It was quite a sight ~ these are just a few pics in the series. Enjoy! We all have our proverbial 'eye's peeled' these days. Always on the lookout for wildlife on the meadow.

Winter settles on the meadow

The three of us spent a delightful December afternoon following the antics of one of our resident coyotes as he went about his business on the meadow. These photos were taken by David.
