Late June on the meadow.

The tail end of June and our meadow becomes a lush forest of every shade of green
and the wildflowers begin.

"That beautiful season the Summer!
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light;
And the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood."
-  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The middle of June on our fifty acres in the wilds of BC

Exciting skies and some wicked storms.

Still open mornings

The hay is not 'as high as an elephants eye' just yet ~ but soon.

These verses from Hammerstein's 1943 hit musical Oklahoma, do kind of sum up our summer mornings on the meadow.

There's a bright, golden haze on the meadow
There's a bright, golden haze on the meadow.
The corn is as high as an elephant's eye
And it looks like it's climbing clear up to the sky.
Oh, what a beautiful Mornin'
Oh, what a beautiful day.
I've got a beautiful feelin'
Everything's goin' my way.
With loads of love.  Till next time.
